Electrical Engineering Intern, System Design & Simulation

Job Description

Position Summary

This position involves working in NextFlex’s System Design & Simulation group working on next generation additively manufactured PCB designs. They will work with the existing design team on schematic, layout and simulation of new electrical systems being designed at NextFlex and assist in the rapid protoyping and debugging of the designs during the early manufacturing stage. This is a good opportunity to receive hands on training in novel, state of the art system design and manufacturing in a unique environment.


  • Electronic Circuit Design course (or equivalent circuit design knowledge)
  • Data Structures course
  • Experience with some form of design software (Mentor Graphics is preferred)
  • Experience with embedded systems and signal processing

Preferred Skills

  • Mentor Graphics Experience
  • Experience with electrical test equipment including oscilloscope, power supply and function generator
  • Class work in advanced circuit design and simulation
  • Experience using soldering tools
  • Programming in C or Python
  • Previous exposure to additive manufacturing tools
