Event Recap: DMC 2022
Last week NextFlex participated in the Defense Manufacturing Conference held in Tampa, FL, December 5-8. NextFlex speakers in the Electronics Interconnect Panel included: Dr. Scott Miller, Director of Technology, who spoke on “Hybrid Electronics Manufacturing and Applications; Dr. Janos Veres, Director Engineering, who spoke on, “Hybrid Electronics Technology Capabilities for Defense Applications.”This panel was facilitated by Dr. Eric Forsythe, NextFlex Government Program Manager, ARL, and supported by Mr. David Sabanosh of US Army DEVCOM who spoke on, “Reliability Standards and Certification for Hybrid Electronics for Defense” (above). In addition, Ms. Taylor McLeod, Workforce
Development Portfolio Manager, participated in the “EWD Roundtable: Innovations in Manufacturing Education and Regional Program Leadership” (left). Our objectives in participating in the event were to support DoD and agency partners, support participating members, and to seek new members and commercial projects.
Several VIP visitors stopped by the NextFlex booth to learn more about flexible and additively manufactured hybrid electronics, including Brigadier General David Trybula, Deputy
Commanding General, Combat Capabilities Development Command/Senior Commander, Natick Soldier Systems Center, US Army Futures Command (left). Dr. Scott Miller is demonstrating the “IronPipe” equipment health monitoring device designed and prototyped at NextFlex.

made with companies, universities, and government agencies. NextFlex also contributed to the OSD booth by providing our PC 4.9 drone demonstrator, the soldier authenticator, and the confined space monitor.
