NextFlex News – December 2023
Dear Colleagues and NextFlex Supporters,
It is my pleasure to write to you for the first time as one of the interim NextFlex Executive Directors. This month is always a busy one for us at NextFlex, given that many of us are currently attending and exhibiting at this year’s Defense Manufacturing Conference (DMC).
For those of you who aren’t familiar, DMC is the nation’s annual forum for enhancing and leveraging the efforts of engineers, managers, technology leaders, scientists, and policy makers across the defense manufacturing industrial base. Leaders and manufacturing subject matter experts from government, industry, and academia exchange information and perspectives on defense manufacturing policies, strategic direction, best practices, funding opportunities, and the latest manufacturing innovations that will benefit our warfighters.
I’m currently at the conference in Nashville with other NextFlex directors: Dr. Scott Miller, Ed Hendricks, Becky Lewis, and Karen Savala. If you happen to be at the event, stop by and see us at booth #231 to learn about what we’re currently working on. We’ve had the honor of meeting with several distinguished visitors from the DoD and showing them our latest innovations in the field of hybrid electronics.
Aside from DMC, we are wrapping up another year of continuously working on supporting Project Call projects and producing new technology as a result of our Agency Driven Projects. As this year draws to a close, we wanted to thank you all for your support of our organization over the years and as we transition to new leadership. We wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season and look forward to a fantastic new year of shaping the hybrid electronics industry.
Sincerely,
Art Wall, Ph.D.
Interim NextFlex Executive Director
